- Does it cost anything to use RewardTags?
- No, RewardTags is completely free.
- Is RewardTags compatible with. . . ?
- RewardTags currently integrates with Windows Mail, Outlook 2007, Outlook Express, Outlook 2003, Outlook XP (2002) and Outlook 2000. It is compatible with Windows Vista, Windows XP and Windows 2000.
- How do I redeem my points for prizes?
- Please visit our Rewards page to redeem your points for gift cards from popular retailers and restaurants. You can also use your points to make donations to your favorite charities by clicking on the charity you choose to support and choosing the amount to donate.
- Can I send spam to get more points?
- No! This will get you banned. RewardTags is intended only for the friend-to-friend email you would normally send.
- Can I get points for clicking my own ads?
- No, we can't currently offer you points for clicking your own ads or sending email to yourself. However, we are currently working on a members area of the website where you can signup for offers and earn points.
- How do the ads get placed on the messages?
- A small light-weight program is installed in your system tray. When you send a message, the program scans the content of the message for keywords and automatically appends the Reward Tag to the end of your message. The RewardTags plug-in seamlessly integrates with your outgoing messages.
- What exactly am I advertising?
- You are advertising offers for a variety of products that are specifically tailored to the content of the messages you send. For example, if you are sending a message inviting a friend to go out for pizza, an ad for a pizza chain might appear at the bottom of your message. Your contacts will never be subjected to ads that are offensive or adult in nature.
- Will I be sending unwanted messages to my family, friends and contacts?
- The only advertising that your contacts will receive will be limited to the tags that appear at the bottom of messages you choose to send. RewardTags are included at the bottom of personal correspondence. Minor, non-invasive ads only appear at the bottom of messages that you already send to your contacts. The ads they will see will be contextually relevant and unimposing on the actual messages.
- Does the program affect my privacy?
- The ads that appear are based on your specific message content, but the ads are chosen locally and automatically by the program on your computer. None of the information contained in your message is able to be viewed or shared externally.
- How do I turn off RewardTags temporarily when sending a message?
- Yes, simply right-click the RewardTags icon in your system tray (usually on the lower right of your screen) and choose exit. As long as the RewardTags program is closed, no RewardTags will be inserted into your emails. When you wish to resume sending RewardTags, relaunch the program.
- How do I uninstall RewardTags?
- Click on your Start Menu, navigate to the Control Panel, and select Add or Remove Programs. Select RewardTags from the list and click Remove.
- How do I report abuse?
- If you have received spam or abusive email from someone using RewardTags, please report it to abuse@rewardtags.com. Be sure to include a copy of the email with full headers.
